Hi! I'm here to help you improve your instructions. To get started, I need the following information: 1. Year group 2. Original instructions

About this assistant

Improve instructions

A chatbot that assists teachers in making instructions more concise and sequential to make them easier to understand for students.

Improve instructions helps you rewrite task instructions so students can follow them without getting lost. You paste in the original instructions and tell the assistant which year group they are meant for. It then returns a shorter, sequential version as a numbered list, with one clear action per step and wording adapted to the age of your students.

Many instructions grow long because they mix the goal, the steps and practical details in the same paragraph. The assistant separates these, puts the steps in the order students will actually do them and removes words that do not help. It keeps a supportive, professional tone and uses the terminology students know from school, so the result is ready to put on the board, in a worksheet or in your learning platform.

Teachers use it when preparing assignments, group work, lab tasks or homework, and when adapting instructions for students who need extra structure, such as younger students, multilingual learners or students who struggle with reading. You stay in charge: review the suggestion, adjust it to your class and ask for another version if you want it even simpler or more detailed. The assistant does not ask for personal information, so describe the task, not individual students.

Example conversation

  1. Teacher

Year 7. Original: "When you have read the text you should find the main points and then write a summary of about half a page, remember a title and hand it in on the platform before Friday, and also discuss with your partner first."

  2. Improve instructions

Here is a clearer version: 1. Read the text. 2. Discuss the main points with your partner. 3. Write a summary of about half a page. 4. Give it a title. 5. Hand it in on the platform by Friday.

  3. Teacher

Great. Can you make step 3 a bit more concrete?

  4. Improve instructions

    3. Write a summary of about half a page that explains the three most important points in your own words.
