About this assistant

Task Manager

A chatbot that assists teachers and students by breaking down tasks into manageable steps. This promotes a stronger understanding and enables greater independence among the students.

Task Manager helps teachers and pupils break an assignment down into clear, manageable steps. You give it the year group and the assignment text, and it returns an ordered list of steps adapted to that level: what to read first, what to identify or collect, how to compare or plan, and what to write or conclude at the end. The goal is stronger understanding and more independence, not a finished answer.

The assistant keeps its language clear and concise and uses terms pupils recognise from school. It describes the work to be done, so the pupil still reads the texts, makes the choices and writes the answer. A long, open task such as comparing narrators in two novels becomes a sequence of concrete actions the pupil can tick off one by one.

Teachers use it when planning to check that an assignment is realistic for the year group, to create a step-by-step support sheet for pupils who need structure, or to differentiate the same task for several levels. Pupils can use it to get started on a big assignment or a project, and to plan their time before a deadline. Many teachers go through the steps with the class first so pupils learn to break down tasks themselves. The assistant never asks for personal information.

  1. Teacher

Year 10. Assignment: Write a short report on how your municipality deals with waste.

  2. Task Manager

Here's a step-by-step plan: 1) Read the task and underline what the report must include. 2) Find two sources about waste handling in your municipality. 3) Take notes on how waste is collected, sorted and recycled. 4) Make an outline: introduction, main part, conclusion. 5) Write your report and check it against the task.
