abstract elements of a personalized chatbot

Creating a personalized chatbot for your classroom is now easier than ever thanks to our latest update.

Whether you want to guide students through a creative writing exercise, quiz them on science facts, or help them revise for an exam, you can now build an educational chatbot in minutes, with or without technical experience.

Perfect for students of all ages, this tool gives you a powerful, customizable assistant designed to support learning in and beyond the classroom.

How does it work?

You can now create your chatbot in two flexible ways:

  • Chatbot assistant: Simply describe what you need and our AI assistant will guide you step by step, helping you refine the chatbot’s tone, features and content through a natural chat.
  • Manual editing: Want full control? Use the manual editor to fine-tune every detail — from the name and prompt to welcome message, content, and files.

Whichever path you choose, the result is the same: a fully functional chatbot tailored to your teaching needs.

Build your chatbot with the Chatbot Assistant

Let’s say you’re a middle school teacher preparing a unit on the solar system. You want to create a chatbot that quizzes students, shares fun facts about the planets, and explains basic science concepts in a friendly, accessible tone.

Here’s an example of what you can say to the AI assistant:

Prompt:

I want to create a chatbot for my 12-year-old students to help them learn about the solar system. It should quiz them on planet facts, share fun facts, and explain concepts like gravity or orbits in a simple way.

The assistant will generate a first version of your chatbot, and from there, you can continue refining it. Adjust the name, tone, and features through natural conversation.

Here are some ideas of what you can ask:

  • Rename the chatbot: Change the name to AstroBuddy.
  • Adjust the tone: Make it sound friendly and curious, like a classmate who loves space and wants to share cool facts.
  • Or even: Make it sound like a being from outer space!

The assistant might then suggest features like:

What kind of questions or activities should AstroBuddy offer? For example:
– “Ask me about planets”
– “Let’s do a quiz”
– “Tell me a space joke”

And from there, you can refine the tasks the chatbot should perform.

You can preview the chatbot and test it live in the right panel.

Fine-tune your chatbot with the manual editor

You can always switch to the manual editor to refine your chatbot further. There, you can:

  • Edit the name, prompt, and welcome message
  • Upload files the chatbot can use (PDFs, slides, etc.)
  • Add or change the avatar

If you want the chatbot to use content from an uploaded file, make sure to include that instruction in the prompt. For example:

“Use the vocabulary in the attached PDF to create quiz questions.”

Once everything is ready, just hit Publish in the top-right corner. Your chatbot is now live and ready to use!

You can share it with your students, colleagues, or in our community (coming soon!).

Test, tweak, and personalize

We recommend testing your chatbot with your students and pay attention to their reactions and responses. As they use it, pay attention to:

  • Are they engaged?
  • Is the tone age-appropriate?
  • Are the answers clear and helpful?

Based on their feedback, you can go back to the assistant or manual editor to tweak the language, add features or make it even more useful.

Chatbots work best when they evolve — so don’t be afraid to edit it as much as you need to.

Want to make changes later?

No problem. You’ll find all your created chatbots saved in your dashboard. Just click on the three dots to edit.
