Suggestions for a differentiated lesson plan

1. Introduction and expectation setting (5 min)
Method: Short class review. Explain that they are going to learn how to use the Word app to create posters on a topic of their choice.
Rationale: Creates motivation and makes the objective clear.

2. Direct instruction and demonstration (15 min)
Method: Use a projector/smartboard and go through the steps step by step:
– Create a new document in Word
– Change the page layout to A3 (Layout → Size → A3)
– Insert a text box (Insert → Text Box)
