Guess who

Create a bot and play "Guess who". Write who they should guess and then share a link to the chatbot with others. Unfortunately, it doesn't always work so well with lesser-known individuals, so we recommend that you test it before you share it with others.

Guess who is a classic game with a twist: the chatbot plays a person, and the class has to find out who it is by asking questions. You write the name of a well-known person or character, for example an author, a scientist, an athlete, a historical figure or a hero from a book or film, and the bot stays in that role without ever revealing the name.

Pupils ask yes-and-no questions and follow-up questions: was the person alive today, where did they live, what were they known for. The bot answers only with facts it can stand behind. When it does not know something it says so instead of making it up, and if it cannot tell who the person is, it tells the pupils that it cannot play that role. When someone guesses right, the bot celebrates with them.

The game works in the language you choose, in short answers that suit pupils from age 7 to 15. Teachers use it as a warm-up in history, social studies, literature or language lessons, as a revision game before a test, or as a quiet group activity. Share the link, and pupils can play in pairs or small groups. It works best with well-known people, so try the bot yourself before you share it.

    Did you write books?

  4. Guess who

Yes, I wrote many books, and a lot of them are for children. Keep asking!
