We are a Norwegian startup on a mission to build a product that encourages learners to use AI as a tool for curiosity and engaged learning.

Our story

Our founder, Espen, had spent years working as a developer and CTO, building products for education and technology companies.

The idea for Schoolhub came when his wife, who is a school teacher, told him she was looking for an AI tool she could use in the classroom. At the time, AI tools were starting to appear, but they were either not good enough or not allowed to use in school.

So Espen started building a tool with GDPR compliance and other safety measures in place from the start.

A few months later, other teachers got in touch asking if they could try it too. They had come across it when searching for something similar. That was the moment the idea started to grow into something bigger.

Fast forward to today. The company has grown and we are now a team of people, dedicated to putting the best tools and technology into the hands of teachers and students.

Students and educators from multiple countries now use Schoolhub every day, including Norway, Finland, Sweden, Denmark incl. Faroe Islands, Latvia, Belgium, Tanzania and many more.

As tech people, we know how to build products, but we depend on people with teaching expertise to guide us. By working closely with educators, researchers and education institutions we hope to build something truly excellent.

Safety goes beyond compliance

That our tool is used in schools with young people is something we take very seriously. Leaving you with the decision of how and when to use our tool.

We’re an open book

AI can be hard to understand. What we can do is be open about how your data is used, how the product works, and what AI can and can't do. Leaving you with the decision of how and when to use our tool.

We are learners too

AI in education is new territory for all of us. We do not think anyone has all the answers yet, we certainly do not. We are here to provide teachers and learners with a tool for their tool box that can help students reach their learning goals faster.
