Until now you have been able to use parts of Skolebot without an account. That is about to change: soon everyone will need to log in to use Skolebot on skolebot.no and skolebot.dk. Here is why, and what it means for you.
Why we are making this change
The main reason is that we have introduced access control. Many schools, municipalities and counties want to decide which features their students can use, and when. A teacher may want to turn off image generation during a lesson, limit a class to one specific chatbot, or open a tool only for a particular grade. That kind of control is only possible when Skolebot knows who is using it, and that requires an account.
Access control also makes it easier for us to keep students safe, keep the service stable and give priority to the classrooms that rely on Skolebot every day.
Skolebot is still free
You can still use Skolebot for free. The only difference is that you need an account. Creating one takes a minute, and you keep all the tools you use today.
